British actress Kate Beckinsale (50 years old) became famous through the films “Much Ado About Nothing,” “Pearl Harbor,” and “Van Helsing.”

She’s also easily recognizable by her long, dark locks and dazzling smile — which is probably why many of her followers got a surprise recently.

On Thursday, she shared a series of photos on Instagram, showing her with a completely new “look.” She dyed her dark hair light and cut her hair short.

The British actor is almost unrecognizable.

Many of her followers on the photo-sharing service interacted with her new look, which indicates divided opinions.

While some are praising Beckinsale’s new hairstyle with comments such as:

“Wow, what an amazing photo and outfit. You look so different. You’re so beautiful.”

Then there are others who are more critical of the blonde weld.

Another wrote: “I don’t like you as a blonde.”

A third follower adds: “I’m not a fan of blonde hair.”

However, most of the love seems to be in the comments section as there is a predominance of positive comments.

“Blonde hair really works!” one follower wrote, while another wrote that he didn’t think Beckinsale could get any prettier.

The star has not yet commented on the change herself, nor on the reactions that came from her followers.
