(Minnesota Wild – Chicago Blackhawks 4-1) Mats Zuccarello wreaked havoc with one goal and two assists as the Minnesota Wild beat the Chicago Blackhawks in NHL action on Sunday. He is one goal away from 600 goals in his career.
After Sunday’s game, Zuccarello has reached 192 goals and 407 assists in NHL regular season games. Thus, he stands at a certain stage.
After a recent coaching change, hiring John Hynes, the Wild put a long losing streak behind them and started winning again. The team did not wait long to connect the move in front of the home team’s fans.
After a dribble, Zuccarello fought for the ball behind the opponent’s goal, brought it along the glove and passed it to Brock Faber. He sent a high shot which Marco Rossi elegantly headed into the corner.
22-year-old Austrian Rossi also made it 2-0, and Zuccarello eventually made it 3-0. He was left alone at the far post, and Kirill Kaprizov found him with a precise diagonal pass. The Norwegian scored his sixth goal this season from a direct shot.
Midway through the middle period, Zuccarello did most of the work himself as Matt Boldy scored to make it 4-0. The Norwegian received the ball on the left side in exaggeration and sent a shot that hit Poldi’s stick while he was standing with his back to it. The ball changed direction and deceived the goalkeeper.
Taylor Radish has been reduced in the last period. The Wild and Blackhawks are in the bottom two spots in their division, but after the win, the Wild connect with the teams at the top.
