New Pokémon Legends and Pokémon cards for mobile have been revealed

Tuesday marked 28 years since the original launch of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in Japan. To celebrate the occasion, The Pokémon Company shared a look at what the future holds for the popular series.

Among other things, Pokémon Presents 2024 included the announcement of a new Pokémon Legends game and trading cards for mobile phones. We've gathered all the news from the broadcast, which you can check out below.

Pokemon scarlet and purple

Pokemon company

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet introduce new Tera Raid battles. Here you can fight and capture larger versions called Mighty of Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard. The Mighty Venusaur appears today, February 28th. After a week, it's ready for the next person.

Pokemon Go x Pokemon Horizons

Pokémon GO meets the Pokémon Horizons anime series in the mobile game's next update. This introduces familiar faces from the series, as well as Pikachu in a captain's hat. The scheme runs from March 5 to 11.

Sleeping Pokemon

The Pokemon game that watches you while you sleep is introducing new monsters in March. First up is Raikou, who is joined shortly by his friends Entei and Suicune.

Pokemon Masters EX

The Pokémon Masters EX mobile game is four and a half years old. It will be celebrated with the introduction of Geeta and Glimmora from February 28th, followed by the introduction of Silver and Tyranitar from March 1st.

Pokemon Cafe Remix

Mobile updates have continued with the Pokémon Café Remix update. The game introduces a new item to collect called Gimmighoul Coins. Players can also choose one of the starter monsters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to join their café.

Pokemon unite

The MOBA Pokémon Unite introduces more playable Pocket Monsters. The first is Miraidon, followed by Falinks and Ceruledge.

Pokemon pocket trading card game

25 years after the original peak of the phenomenon, Pokémon cards are coming in a digital version on mobile. The trading card game will launch sometime this year and will be available to download for free for both iOS and Android.

Pokemon Legends: ZA

The next big Pokémon game will be a new issue called Legends. This time, the Pokémon Company seems to be tempted with a different version of Pokémon Z, called Pokémon Legends: ZA. The game will be set exclusively in Lumiose City, but exactly what it is about is currently unclear. The launch is scheduled to take place sometime in 2025, and according to rumours, this is also when Nintendo plans to launch its next gaming console.
