Swedish police found a boy under the age of 18 with serious gunshot wounds in the Nyfors district of Eskilstuna, Sweden.

Police rushed to the scene after receiving several reports of loud noises in the area. No one has been arrested in the case.

– We are still in the hunting phase, and we are working with the investigation in parallel. We have also put up roadblocks and are trying to get crime scene technicians to the crime scene as quickly as possible. We also took some people in for questioning, says police spokesman Magnus Jansson Clarin Aftonbladet.

It takes place the day after a man in his twenties is murdered in the same city. The man was hit by several bullets, and according to the police, eyewitnesses in the area heard that at least ten bullets were fired. There were holes in both a car and a building near where the man was found.

The police are now investigating whether there is a connection between the two shootings.

It’s a bit early to say now, but we suspect a connection to the conflict environments we’re currently living in. Whether it was yesterday’s shooting or it was an isolated incident, Jansson Klarin says, it’s too early to say now.
