Newcastle-Nottingham Forest 1-3:
Boxing Day on December 26 may be the most anticipated round of the Premier League, but for Newcastle fans, it was a day they wanted to quickly forget.

Dream opening
Newcastle got off to a great start to the game when Alexander Isak went to the ground inside the 16-metre box, and the referee pointed firmly to the spot.
The same man was very cold from the penalty spot, putting the ball under control into the net behind Matt Turner.
The home side took complete control of the match in the first half, but when former Newcastle player Chris Wood appeared before the team entered the dressing room, everything changed.

This victory was Nottingham Forest's first in eight matches, and gave them three incredibly important points in the relegation race, climbing to sixteenth place.
Newcastle now faces the risk of falling to ninth place if Manchester United and Brighton win their matches.
