This was confirmed by the Saudi national team Social media channels Sunday evening. The 58-year-old signed a four-year contract.

– I made history in Europe, and now I will do it in Saudi Arabia, Mancini said in a video.

The Italian manager has impressive achievements such as European Championship gold (Italy, 2021), Premier League gold (Manchester City, 2011/12) and three Serie A titles with Inter on his resume.

Mancini managed the Italian national team for five years before ending his training recently. After that, he denied that the departure had a direct relationship with the vacant position of the Saudi national team.

– I am a football coach, and when I receive an offer that I like, I will accept it. “But that is not the reason for my departure from the national team,” Mancini told Corriere dello Sport of Saudi Arabia’s interest.

Italy has always been number one for me. He added, “I have received many offers that I will consider in the coming weeks, but at the moment there is nothing concrete.”

However, it is now clear that the 58-year-old will become the manager of the Saudi national team. He will play his first match off the bench when Saudi Arabia faces Costa Rica on September 8 and South Korea on September 12 at St James’ Park, the home stadium of Newcastle, which plays in the English Premier League.
