BERGEN (VG) (Sandviken-Klepp 8-0) Maria Dybwad Brochmann (28) Klepp was devastated when Sandviken wrote a history of football in Bergen.
– She’s so wonderful. Nothing is greater than that. That’s why we’re doing it, Sandviken coach Alexander Strauss tells VG while the party music echoes on Stemmemyren.
—She’s fantastically gorgeous, Ingrid Marie Spord tells VG after showing off the gold medal hanging around her neck.
Sandviken won his first league championship with an 8-0 victory over Kleib. Maria Dibode Bruchmann – a real native of Bergen – hit the “home” gold streak with five goals.
Thus, the number of goals for the season increased from four to nine. Bruchman struggled with injuries after a serious knee injury in 2016, but he was a giant of the day in a game where six of his eight goals came from the head.
– You did well today. I did. I’ve been waiting for the opportunity a little lately. Today I got it and then it was just “keep going”. It was really delicious, Brochmann tells VG
– We’ve become a good team. We have a strong team spirit and we’ve stood together through thick and thin, adds the five-goal goalscorer, before she mentions that the gold medal has come home to Bergen.
Captain Tuva Hansen wiped his tears during the interview with NRK. I previously played with Klepp and was involved in their expulsion from Toppserien. Klepp moves down from Toppserien for the first time. Klepp has played at the top level since becoming a National Series one in 1987. That means 35 seasons at the top level.
– There are very divided feelings. It’s great to win, but not so good to meet Klepp and be the one to make sure they get off, Hansen says as he cries.
Sandviken players wore gold berets as they applied for their medals. Hats were thrown into the air at the same time the jubilant Sandviken players raised the trophy.
