– It was a very nice opening. Many onlookers have come here to see the hotel – not least the amazing view from the Skybar. Feedback is good. The view, the lobby, the bar, the rooms, everyone who works here – it’s very good, you tell Hotellmagasinet.
Moxy Tromsø combines chic industrial design and social services, with accessible pricing, so guests can save on their stay and enjoy the experiences.
208 smartly designed rooms with walk-in showers, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, comfy beds, and motion-activated LED lighting. Designed for maximum aesthetics, the newly built hotel takes check-in to new heights: Guests arrive on the top floor of the Sky Bar Moxy, the social heart of the hotel, which also functions as a reception. Here, everyone is greeted with a “Got Moxy” or mocktail upon check-in, as well as handed a room key.
Telescope in the hall
With a view of the fjord and mountains beyond, the Danish designers at Mette Fredskild Studio drew inspiration from local traditions with a range of local traditional outfits, which include indigo, cobalt and blue, as well as warm colors like violet, brown and a deep red. The murals in the common rooms have been done by local artists Alice Kvalvik and Jonathan Broca, and give a playful impression of Tromsø life and the surrounding environment.
– We are very excited to expand our presence to Moxy hotels in Norway with the opening of Moxy Tromsø, which will be the northernmost location of Marriott Bonvoy.
