The question has always been about when and not whether Curtis Jones should make the move to Liverpool’s newfound student. The player came from the academy as a brilliant talent four years ago, but last year the young boy, who has now turned 21, had limited playing time.
Despite his brilliance with his season, including against Porto last fall, Jones himself believes this season is particularly important for him. The season ended with 15 Premier League matches and four Champions League matches, as well as appearances in the English Cups.
– I’m ready, and I feel like I have something to prove (this season). There were a lot of ups and downs last season. Planning a new season in red

I worked hard on vacation
During the holidays, Curtis Jones chose to travel to the United States, more specifically Los Angeles. Although Scooter really wanted to go on vacation to unwind from football, he was not able to do so. I spent many days in California on the football field, to be more prepared for a new season.
– Since I was a little boy, I’ve always had a ball in my leg. When you’re on vacation and you try to turn it off, it quickly gets boring, and then I end up on the football field again. This is what the holiday looks like to me, says the 21-year-old.
Now Jones is on another continent, more specifically Thailand. There have been loud calls for a new midfielder this season, but Jurgen Klopp is adamant he is happy with the players he currently has. It could open the door for the explorer, who needs to start giving birth regularly this season.
There is, of course, competition for places within the team, but it is a friendly tone. It’s not that “now he plays and I don’t play so I’m staying away from him”. I see them as teammates and we guys help each other out while Henderson and Thiago help us again, says Jones of the midfield war.

Tomorrow, Jones and Liverpool await their first challenge of the season. In the other half of the field are Manchester United, a team that the Reds won 4-0 and 5-0 last season. The scout could not have dreamed of a better opening match, in front of a crowded stadium in Bangkok.
