But the mother of one of the children was keen to point out that she did not lose weight to succumb to the pressures of beauty – the ideal being to be as thin as possible – but simply because of her physical and mental health.
Hints about baby plans
On a recent episode of the BBC podcast desert island discspublished in July 2022, Adele opens up about losing weight, saying that she was heavily criticized by fans precisely because she became thinner.
– The fans fell because I lost weight. There were those who felt I had let them down. Who said I succumbed to pressures that didn’t really bother me, because none of them sit there and hold my hand at 4 at night when I’m crying and anxious.
Reveals a new step in the relationship
Therefore, the exercises were beneficial for her mental health.
– It gave me focus. It gave me a place to process both good and bad energy, and made me feel stronger – both mentally and physically.
Dreaming of more children
The lifestyle change came as a result of the divorce from her husband Simon Konecki (48 years old). After many years as lovers, they married in 2016. In 2019, they separated, and two years later, the divorce was a reality.
The former couple have a son, Angelo Adkins (9 years old) together.
Now Adele has found happiness again, with sports agent Rich Paul (40), and in the same BBC podcast, the “Hello” star is opening up about the family’s expansion.
– Of course I want more children. It would be great if we could have it. If not, I have Angelo. I just want to be happy.
