Victor Osimhen, Napoli | Victor Osimhen is threatening legal action against Napoli after a TikTok video

Hot Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is threatening to take legal action against his current club.

The background to this is a video that Napoli posted on the social media site TikTok earlier on Tuesday.

The club published a video clip in which it almost mocked its star striker after he burned a penalty kick in Sunday’s match against Bologna.

Agent: Not acceptable

The video was later deleted, but through his advisor Osimhen has now stated that he did not like the stunt very much.

– What happened on Napoli’s official TikTok platform today is unacceptable. A video mocking Victor was first posted but later deleted, says agent Roberto Calenda, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“This is a serious matter that causes great harm to the player and only reinforces the treatment he has recently received through the media and fake news,” the agent continued.

What happens next is uncertain, but Kalinda says legal action may be necessary.

-We reserve the right to take legal action. “We are doing everything we can to protect Victor,” he says.

Devastating for Naples

The 24-year-old Nigerian was a very pivotal player when Napoli won the Serie A title last season. He scored a total of 31 goals in 39 matches for the club.

As a result of his excellent performance, he was linked to a number of major clubs this summer, but he remained in Italy.

So far this season, the Nigerian has scored three goals in six appearances for the Italian champions.

Osimhen previously played for Wolfsburg in Germany and Lille in France. He signed for Napoli in the summer of 2020.
