Viking received an offer to buy Joe Bell

The case is updated

After two good seasons at Stavanger FC, there has been speculation about Bale’s future.

According to Nettavisen’s information, Brøndby made an offer for the midfielder near the transfer deadline. The window at most major leagues closes at midnight on Monday, including in Denmark.

Brøndby recently sold midfielder Morten Frendrup to Italian Genoa for over 30 million kroner. Tobias Børkeeiet was also sold to Rosenborg earlier this month.

The Vikings are said to have held negotiations with an unnamed club during Monday, something Aftenbladet can report. The online newspaper can reveal that the club in question is the Danish league champion.

It remains unclear whether the transfer will be too close to the transfer deadline, but Bale has previously been clear that he might want to continue his career elsewhere after the 2021 season.

No one in the Vikings administration was available for comment on Monday.

The online newspaper understands that there has been previous interest from Belgium, Russia and English Premier League club Barnsley. Now the Danish Brondby is the most realistic.

Last summer, Viking sold midfielder Henrik Heggheim to the same club.

The New Zealander also indicated that he would not extend the contract that expires after the 2022 season.

The transition window in Norway does not close until March 31.
