New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, 43, is engaged to boyfriend Jonathan Scott, 45.
The couple shared this in a joint Instagram update on Monday night NST.
– Forever starts now!!! , they write to a selfie where Deschanel shows off her engagement ring.
According to Entertainment Tonight Scott proposed to Deschanel during a family vacation in Scotland on Sunday.
Her sons Elsie (8) and Charlie (6), whom she previously married to film producer Jacob Pechenek, were also supposed to be in attendance.
Deschanel is best known from the TV series New Girl and the films Elf and Yes Man, while Scott leads the Canadian TV show Property Brothers.
The newly engaged couple first met each other in 2019 while filming an episode of the Apple TV+ show “Carpool Karaoke,” which also featured Jonathan’s twin brother Drew Scott and Zooey’s sister Emily Deschanel.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in July, where the clip was rerun, Deschanel describes the moment as follows:
