The meeting between Frederiksen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been confirmed Prime Minister’s OfficeThursday morning.
The meeting was kept secret for a long time for security reasons, but on Thursday the Danish prime minister arrived in Kyiv with his colleague, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

– We just arrived in Kyiv. He wrote on Twitter that Ukraine has the support and solidarity of Spain.
– I admire President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people for their courage, and how they continue to defend their country in the illegal war waged by Putin. I look forward to the meeting, and my message will be that Denmark will continue to help Ukraine,” Frederiksen said in a statement.
Among other things, the Danish prime minister promised that Denmark would send more weapons to Ukraine.

Not for Ukraine
Thus, the Danish Prime Minister will be the first to visit Ukraine among the leaders of the Scandinavian government.
During the meeting, the three heads of state will discuss the current situation in Ukraine and further support. They will also discuss Russia’s prosecution of possible war crimes and human rights abuses.
According to the Prime Minister’s office here in Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre has no plans to travel to Ukraine immediately. This was stated by Secretary of State Till Gordback to Television 2.
