“It is with a heavy heart that Beitostølen Live sees no other option than to announce a tender. We would like to start by apologizing to all of you who bought tickets and to everyone who thought of a wonderful weekend party,” writes the organizer on its own website.

They explain the cancellations as a result of the aftermath of the pandemic, the war in Europe and changes in the public’s buying habits.

“Increasing competition, rising prices, demands for advance payments at all levels, failed ticket sales this year and last year, low sponsorship income and lack of public financial support, the math unfortunately doesn’t add up.”

Popular names like Matoma, Samantha Fox, Bigbang, OnklP, Ole Ivars and Ravi should be on stage in Beitostølen.

The organizer recommends that all ticket holders contact their own bank for a refund.

The festival was originally scheduled to take place on the 11th and 12th of August at the Beitostollen Stadium.
