Idun Industri AS’s licorice sauce, which was the best before the date of 18.05.2023, is now being withdrawn from the market, and distribution of the product has been discontinued entirely.
The reason must be the extremely high content of the pesticide matrix, which is not an approved pesticide. Therefore, the presence of health risks cannot be excluded, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority wrote.
Idun encourages all consumers who have purchased the current product to dispose of it or return it to the store where it was purchased. The licorice sauce must have been sold to Coop Norway and the product is intended as a dessert sauce.
