15 years ago, judge Mia Gundersen helped choose 16-year-old Erlend Bratland as the winner of Norway’s Got Talent.

– The idea was to bring Erlind and Mia together on stage after 15 years, says concert organizer Kim Ari Rusuk at the Mikrofonen event for VG.

But the “December Night” tour will have to happen without Bratland.

– Unfortunately, he has to retire. Erlend was ill and could not complete this year’s Christmas tour, concert organizer Kim Ari Rusuk informed Mikrofonen Event.

Therefore, Mia Gundersen, Espen Hanna (59), Er Enderhaug (52), Kirsti Lucena (36) and Marie Haug (38) must manage without Bratland, the youngest member of the band.

-We all think this is very sad, but the most important thing now is health. It is important for Erlend to be rested in the future, Rusuk says.

The Randaberg Christmas Tour starts on 10 December.

– Since there are only a few days left, there will be no replacement for Erlind, explains the concert organizer.

Gundersen says in a written statement that she and others will do everything they can to deliver, even if they come up short.

– We will play all the strings from opera, show to pop, as we have done for the past four years, as promised.

The 62-year-old is a regular on December Night, but this was Bratland’s first time participating.

– I wish Erlind a speedy recovery, says Gundersen.

After winning the “Norske Talenter” in 2008, young Bratland topped the VG chart with songs such as “Lost” and “Still Water”. However, he soon withdrew from the limelight and trained as a hairdresser and makeup artist.

In 2014, he returned to the music scene, and the following year he took second place at MGP. In 2017, Bratland participated in “Stjernekamp”, and after two years he tried again in MGP.
