We’ve already written about the iPhone 16 before, well before August 2023, just weeks before the iPhone 15 series was revealed on September 12th.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the 2024 models
Already in April i last year (That is, before the launch of the iPhone 14) We wrote about the iPhone 16 as the “everyone is waiting” model: “The iPhone 14 series will finally have autofocus on the front, but the biggest improvement will come with the iPhone 16 in 2024, because then Apple will be able to put both the camera front and FaceID under the panel so that only the panel is visible.”
Now that we know the front design of the iPhone 14 Pro series with a pill design, Kuo believes that the real big evolution in iPhone design will come in 2024 with the iPhone 16. Kuo believes that the front camera and FaceID will be hidden in the bottom panel. It will take time because Apple has to make sure that the light shines through the panel so that you can take good pictures with the front camera.

Is the “Ultra” brand dead?
Then, in May of this year, rumors surfaced that the “iPhone 16 Ultra” would be the first model in a long time to increase the screen size from the Pro Max’s 6.7-inch to 6.9-inch. We don’t know if the “Ultra” branding is still an internal thing at Apple since we haven’t heard anything about it since early this year.

Now we might know a little more
Jeff Bo, an analyst from Haitong International Securities, claims he knows the 2024 models will get WiFi 7 (2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz. Synchronized – 40Gbps: 4x increase from WiFi 6E.) This year’s models are also expected to get WiFi 6E.
As usual, an upgraded camera is to be expected, and in 2024 the focus will be on a 48MP camera that will be able to take in more light — an improvement Apple makes every year to improve all aspects of image quality. At the same time, it is expected that the “Super Pixel” technology, which improves image quality when there are few light sources, will be included in the ultra-wide-angle lens, which has a resolution of only 12 megapixels.
