Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, will deliver a speech before the House of Representatives on February 28.

His explanation will come after several interviews with Biden family members and other staff, leaders of the House Oversight Committee and the Judiciary Committee said in a statement.

Republicans want to open formal impeachment proceedings to investigate allegations of corruption related to his son Hunter Biden's work abroad.
Republicans accuse Biden's son of exploiting his father's position to obtain money and positions in Ukraine and China.
There have already been several hearings on this issue, but Republicans have found no evidence that Biden Sr. did anything wrong. However, Republicans believe the new investigation will give them additional powers and greater ammunition in the search for evidence.
