Hunter Biden will testify before this committee.

He had previously been called as a witness for the Republican-led impeachment committee, but he opposed that. The date that has been set now comes after a tug of war between his lawyer and the House of Representatives Letters of News.

In December, the majority in the House of Representatives agreed to launch an impeachment investigation into Joe Biden.

Mike Johnson, Leader of the House of Representatives, commented with the Republican leadership on the decision after the vote ended.

Republicans want to open formal impeachment proceedings to investigate allegations of corruption related to his son Hunter Biden's work abroad.

Republicans accuse Biden's son of exploiting his father's position to obtain money and positions in Ukraine and China.
