The Norwegians pressed the Hyundai Ioniq when it arrived in 2016.

The car was named Car of the Year by DinSide and Dagbladet and also received five stars in the Euro NCAP crash test in 2016. The result of our testing at the time was that the car was ahead of many competitors.

Production of the pure electric model was completed last year, and now the same is happening with plug-in hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars.

They wrote that production – which takes place at the company’s plant in Ulsan, South Korea – will cease in July of this year.

More models

The first generation Ioniq was replaced in 2021 by the Ioniq 5, which was also well received here on the mountain. It also won the title of Car of the Year 2022 Earlier this year.

The company is also working on two more Ioniq cars, called the 6 and 7. These will be a large sedan and an SUV, respectively.
