Taylor Swift’s sold-out, record-breaking tour is coming to cinemas — at least in the US.
“The Tour of Ages has been the most important electric experience of my life so far, and I am so happy to tell you that it will hit the movie screen soon,” Taylor Swift, 33, wrote on social media.
The concert movie named “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour” will premiere on October 13 in the USA.
Whether the film will make it to Norwegian cinemas is currently a bigger question.
– If we have the chance, we will show it in our cinemas, Erlind Boxley, Marketing Director at Nordisk Film tells VG, and continues:
– We’ve received this interest, which is really gratifying, and of course something we’ll do our best to achieve.
ODEON is also investigating the possibility of showing the film from Swift’s successful “Eras Tour.”
– So far this only seems to be in the USA, but we will check if that is possible, says Jon Einar Sievertsen from ODEON to VG.
Tickets for Swift’s concerts have been purchased both in the United States and internationally.
She ditched Norway when she set up the European leg of the tour, but will play three concerts in Stockholm.
Swift has been to Europe many times before, but she has never been to Sweden.
The European tour starts in Paris on May 9, 2024 and ends in London on August 17.
Marie Olvin, or ‘the girl in red’ as she is known, made Norwegian pop history this summer, as a warm-up artist for eight concerts on Taylor Swift’s adventurous ‘Eras Tour’.
