India is growing, and so is the need for energy. There is no growth or prosperity without energy production. Nuclear power is well suited to meet the country's need for clean, reliable energy and is the top priority in Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi's energy initiative.

18 new nuclear reactors

India intends to build 18 new nuclear reactors over the next seven years with a total capacity of 13.8 gigawatts of electricity. The country's total nuclear power capacity will increase to 22.5 gigawatts.
