Jumps, Raw Air, Lillehammer: Silje Opseth won after a brief disappointment with WC
In the end you could have smiled: Celje Obseth was suddenly the best after a string of poor results lately.

After a disappointing water turn, Celje Opseth (23) responded strongly during Monday’s Raw Air race on a big hill in Lillehammer. Out there, no one can match the Norwegian Flying Bird.

With a jump of 116.5 metres, Obseth was ranked seventh after the first round.

In the final round, she followed up with the longest jump of the day, with a height of 131 metres. None of the competitors have been able to match that.

– I was a little shocked by what just happened. I don’t really know what happened. “That was a really nice feeling,” says race winner Opseth who was awarded a TV 2 license after the win was a reality.

Lately, I’ve struggled to get the results I want, and after a disappointing cycle, this win tasted extra sweet:

– I feel like I’ve been able to work constructively and focus on doing what I can do about it. That’s why it’s so great that you won today. Obseth continues to score one of the best wins.

Best in Lillehammer: Celje Opseth, here during qualifying earlier on Monday.

Selina Freitag was the second best player in Lillehammer. It was beaten by Obseth six-tenths.

Irene Maria Kvandal was seventh, Anna Oden Ström twelfth and Maren Lundby fourteenth in the other Norwegian positions.
