Kylian Mbappé – Newspaper: Invited to dinner

After years of speculation, it finally looks like Kylian Mbappe will leave French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

In mid-February, Agence France-Presse and several other media outlets reported that the Frenchman had informed the club's management that he would move when his contract expired in the summer.

In other words, he looked lost against the big French club, but PSG fans still have hope of keeping the star player, and on Monday there was news that at least sparked speculation.

Invited to dinner

The French newspaper reported that Mbappe was invited to have dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron Le Parisien.

Also among the guests, according to the newspaper: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani (Emir of Qatar), and Nasser Al-Khelaifi (President of Paris Saint-Germain).

Aviza wrote that Macron organized the dinner in honor of Sheikh Tamim, and it is likely that some of Mbappe's colleagues were also there.

This will not be the first time Mbappe has visited the president's residence, but as Le Parisien wrote:

“Being welcomed at the Elysee (the French presidential residence) is not an easy matter, even for the best player in the world.”

– He wanted to press on

Macron has previously said that he wants Mbappé to remain in Paris. Last summer he said the following to RMC Sport:

– I will try to push for it.

Qatar is the primary owner of the club through Qatar Sports Investments Company.

On social media, many people are speculating whether the dinner is an attempt by senior officials to convince the 25-year-old to stay in Paris.

The prince is initially in France to talk with Macron about the ceasefire in Gaza and negotiations with Israel.

Rumored to Madrid

Real Madrid appears to be the club leading the race to sign Mbappe. The Spanish capital club has tried several times to secure the star striker, to no avail so far.

Marca believes that Mbappe was told that “Real Madrid is the only option.”

– Countdown. Marca newspaper wrote in mid-February that the transfer would become a reality on July 1.

According to the newspaper, the offer submitted by Real Madrid will be worse than the same offer he made in 2022, when he decided to continue with Paris Saint-Germain.
