Brazilian star Marilia Mendonca, 26, died Friday evening, Norwegian time, in a plane crash, according to reports. CNN Brazil.
It is reported that the small plane crashed in the state of Minas Gerais, southeast of Brazil. Also on board were the artist’s producer, uncle, and advisor, as well as two pilots.
“It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of singer Marilia Mendonca, producer Henrique Ribeiro, uncle and advisor Abesele Silvera Dias Filho, pilot and co-pilot, whose name will not be published at this time,” in a press release.

The plane was in good condition, according to the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). However, the Center for Aviation Accident Investigation and Prevention will open an investigation to determine the condition of the aircraft in more detail.
