Fredrik Solvang and Marion Ravn will lead the Melodi Grand Prix in 2024. This was reported by NRK in a press release.
– I’m really out. I take it as a big challenge to lead NRK’s biggest entertainment show. As this is far from what I usually do, I approach the task with enthusiasm and humility. Solvang says I have never done anything like this before.

Ravan also made no secret that he was looking forward to the work ahead.
– It was a great honor to be asked. This is one of the greatest things you can be a part of. I think it’s going to be incredibly fun, and I hope to be able to use my long-term career to support artists. I want to keep them safe before and after the stage, says Ravn.
NRK’s news editor Knut Magnus Berg says that there will still be debate broadcasts during the MGP programs, but without Solvang.
– There will certainly be debate broadcasts during Friedrich’s absence. We are bringing together two of our best and most experienced presenters, Nina Owing and Adele Bjurstroom, who will take turns leading the broadcasts. The debate is in good hands. Fredrik will return to Debate Studio after MGB work is completed in the first half of February.

On Friday 5 January, the 18 artists competing for the final spot in the Melody Grand Prix 2024 will be launched. The first of three semi-finals will take place on Saturday 13 January at NRK’s premises in Marienlist, Oslo. The final will be held on February 3 at the Trondheim Spectrum.
