Martina Navratilova – new message after shocking message

Back in February, Martina Navratilova gave the tragic news that she had been diagnosed with breast and throat cancer.

It’s dangerous, but it can be dealt with. I hope to get a good result. I explained at the time that it would be difficult to move on, but that I would fight with what I had.

Now, barely three months later, Navratilova can say she’s cancer-free.

– Fighting for life

Doctors informed her that she is healthy again and can return to normal daily life after undergoing radiation therapy.

– As far as they know, I am cured of cancer. I’ll probably still have to irradiate my right breast, but only for two weeks, and that’s more for preventive reasons than anything else, says the 66-year-old Czech-American in an interview with Piers Morgan via US Magazine.

Navratilova is one of the best tennis players of all time. She won 18 Grand Slam tournaments in her career. She resigned in 2006.

The past few months have been difficult, says Navratilova, and there have been a lot of “up and downs”.

– When I heard that I had throat cancer, I thought I was going to die, but in the end I found out that the prognosis was good. But regarding breast cancer, the doctors said, “It doesn’t look good.” That’s when it really hit me – and I burst into tears. “Wow, now I have cancer in two different places,” I thought.

Now she can finally put the horrible months behind her and look forward.

Navratilova was also treated for breast cancer in 2010. At that time, the tumor was removed in a successful surgical procedure.

The tennis legend has also made a name for himself outside of the sports arena.

She has used her voice to talk about gay people, animals and children. She also took a strong stance against communism and the power of the Soviet Union over Eastern Europe in the 20th century.
