Matuma ends in The Voice:

Matuma ends in The Voice:

I’ve always been someone who gives 100 percent of myself to everything I commit to, including The Voice. Now that the world has gradually opened up and I’m starting to walk again, unfortunately not enough time for me to be able to devote 100% entirely to the program or to the participants and my team. So I won’t see it on TV until next year’s season, Matuma says in a press release.

Matuma, along with Espen Linde (51), Ina Woldson (38), and Youssef Ould Meryem (44), have formed the mentoring quartet for The Voice’s last two seasons. It ended with Matomas Erlend Gunstveit winning the 2021 season and second place for Matoma freshman Tara Bloch-Vere in the recently concluded 2022 season.

We wish him all the best

TV 2’s editor, Katherine Haldorsen, wished the 31-year-old would have continued on the show, but he respected his decision.

Matoma has been a great enrichment for The Voice in the two seasons he spent with us. He gave so much — as a human being and his knowledge as an artist and musician — to the participants, TV viewers, and everyone else involved in producing The Voice, and with him on the team, the show really got a new “boost,” she says in a press release, and continues:

Matoma regrets: – Deaf steak

– We thank Matoma for the wonderful work he has done and applaud him for what he is. We would very much like to see him continue as a mentor on The Voice, but at the same time he has great understanding and respect because his career requires his full time and attention moving forward. We wish him all the best.

Haldorsen further stated that ESPN, Ina, and Youssef will continue to serve as mentors in the show’s eighth season.

– We will announce who will take over the fourth presidency when we start new rounds of “blind tests” at a later time, she says.

– very sad

Matuma himself will miss the time on The Voice.

– I’m sitting here with a sad heart because all my co-directors, production and co-stars have become like one big family to me, so it’s very sad to miss next season. The warmth and love the Norwegian people showed me and my music during these two seasons was very touching! I also wish all the new entrants and my fellow distinguished mentors and productions a lot of success and all the best. And he concludes, no matter where in the world I am, I will encourage you through the TV path.
