Microsoft 365 Copilot is now ready for businesses

On November 1, Microsoft 365 Copilot becomes available to end users. The offer is made first to companies with EA (Enterprise Agreement) licenses. There are companies with more than 500 users. The new Microsoft 365 Copilot means, among other things, that you can get automatically generated summaries in Word and help with data analysis in Excel.

Microsoft 365 Chat is also new. This is an extension of Microsoft’s Bing Chat, and a variant of Microsoft’s ChatGPT. It’s built into the Windows operating system, which makes the chatbot more accessible.

Requires customization

There are several things about Copilot that mean it’s not necessarily optimal to begin with.

Although you can type things in Norwegian and get answers, everything goes through translation. Microsoft is created in English, French, German, and Spanish only.

It is also not easy to simply use the system. Microsoft 365 Copilot requires a significant amount of training and for an administrator to make certain modifications. This concerns, among other things, control of private data, classification and access control to avoid privacy challenges.

If you still choose to order the product, it will cost you €30 per user per month, on top of your existing Microsoft subscription.
