New player Peter Strand scores twice as Valringa sabotages START

Valringa – start 3-1 (1-0, 2-0)

The Oslo team had little trouble beating the OBOS Start team on Tuesday, at times driving over the Southerners for three times and 30 minutes.

Two goals were scored by new player Peter Strand. The first came after a rebound from left back Leonard Zotta in the first half, goalkeeper Jasper Torkeldsen missed, and Strand managed to easily put the ball into the open net.

The second goal came after a superb lap on VIF, using Seedy Jatta Henrik Bjørdal who came hard on the overlap. Sunnmøringen lay flat on Strand who finished second for the day.

Vidar Auron Kjartansson increased the lead in the third game with a beautiful header that fell into the far corner. It was the striker’s third goal in many matches. It seemed to mean a lot to the Icelandic, who celebrated unfettered.

He got his start with a consolation goal in the rear when Matthias Grundettern fell in the penalty area. The judge pointed to the mark and Bjarne Antonson was sure.

– It comes fine from him

Starting coach Sindre Tjelmeland is completely satisfied with the match against Vålerenga and sums up the settlement as follows for Discovery:

The first round might be the best from us. So we are the ones who make the most and maybe we should score one or two goals together. The first 10-15 minutes into the second, Vålerenga runs the shop. They don’t make much, but they roll up a nice attack there and shoot 2-0.

Striker Jonathan Braut Bronze started to be dangerous on several occasions, including two big chances after tackles from Sander Sjökvist in the first and second rounds, but had to leave the field empty-handed.

We had two chances that we must define. The last half is characterized by both teams making a lot of changes, I think we are going well despite the fact that there are quite a few relationships and players who haven’t played much together, Tjelmeland continues.

– A little to learn

Keeper Torkildsen hasn’t had his best day on the job. First, he was about to give Udahl a free kick at the start of the match, before being on the run on Strand’s first goal.

– Jasper is doing a lot of good today. He had a slight error early in the match in free play, but mostly he solves it well. This is a bit of what he has to learn to deal with the way we play. We’ll give him time and confidence to get him to the level we know he can reach, says Tjelmeland.
