– Unfortunately, we have found a person who has been confirmed dead, says head of mission Remy Koperut. Relatives have been informed, he said.
Emergency services left just after 10pm on Saturday.
– Heavy smoke was coming from the building, said duty chief Leaf Hoyland at 110 East Central when the first reports of the fire came in.
Smoke was coming from the second floor and attic. Police told neighbors to close windows and stay away from smoking areas.

– There is heavy smoke on the second floor and extinguishing is underway, said Lisbeth Mjosund, operations manager of the Eastern Police District.
The fire service sent smoke plumes into the house in Sarpsborg in Østfold.
According to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the road past the house was closed. But it reopened around 01.30 on Sunday night.
Zero visibility for smoke divers
– Four other people lived in the same building and found another place to stay for the night in another separate housing unit, says head of the mission Remi Koperut.

He says they will investigate further once the fire is completely out, but it will take time for the fire scene to cool down enough for them to work.
So they cannot say anything about where the fire started.
– It was so smoky that smoke divers had almost zero visibility, Koperut says.
He says he's going to talk to them to find out where it burned the most and what it was like when they were inside.
