Farligeprodukter.no has reported a recall of Apple's old 5W charger for iPhone.

-USB charger can overheat and pose a safety hazard, recall states.

If you have this charger, we recommend that you stop using it.

Apple began recalling the charger in question back in 2014, but there may still be a significant number of people who have it in their homes.

– We encourage our customers to trade in their old devices for a new one as soon as possible by following the trade-in process below, Apple wrote on On their websites.

You can determine if your iPhone charger is affected by the recall by looking at the label located between the tabs on your device. If it says “Model A1300”, it is affected by the recall.

The newer charger is labeled “A1400” and is not affected by the recall.
