Since Monday, search teams have been searching for Christopher Ordal in the mountainous area between Lwyn and Stryn.
Eight dog trainers from Sunnfjord, each with their own rescue dog, searched for the missing 30-year-old who is originally from Risør, but lives in southern Norway.
On Wednesday evening, the incident commander of the Stryn police, Jan Tore Sunde, said that a drone had found traces that the management team wanted to investigate more closely.
– A Red Cross drone found traces south of Storiniba. Sund says the track found is about 800 metres.
Norwegian Alpine rescue teams are now on their way to the city to check the tracks. The rescue team took the Loen Skylift up and continued up the mountain where the track was observed. The team must descend the mountainside with a rope to explore the mountainous area below.
They will carry out this work in cooperation with drones that will also investigate the area.
There are more than 30 people involved in the search, and on Wednesday evening, Norwegian Civil Defense will set up listening posts in the search area as they did on Wednesday night.
“We'll keep searching until it gets dark and we'll start again early tomorrow,” says Sundi.
