Actor Michael J. Fox, 62, isn't exactly excited about all of today's celebrities.

This is clearly evident in the recent interview he gave to that magazine the people.

When asked if he thought it was difficult to achieve stardom when he was young, the “Back to the Future” star responded:

-You had to have talent. That helped.

He says that at that time you had to work your mind to show that you were capable.

– And now you have people saying, “What kind of jacket are you wearing? What kind of dance steps is that?” And then you are the most famous person in the world.

He does not cite examples.

When Fox was honored with an honorary Oscar in 2022, he was told he was “an '80s celebrity.”

– I remember thinking: 'Wow, you celebrities from the 80s. (…) We were different. We didn't have social media, none of that nonsense,' he concludes.

– We were more strict.

Despite Parkinson's disease, Fox worked as an actor until 2020.

-It's a strange feeling to be famous. It's more than just gracing magazine covers. When you go to a restaurant, people do their best to find the best table for you.

Fox was at the peak of his career when he came forward in 1998 and said he had Parkinson's disease. By then, it had been seven years since his diagnosis, and he was 29 years old.

Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that can cause difficulty speaking and poor motor skills.

In recent years, Fox has become noticeably more affected by the disease. However, he is active in working to prevent the disease and draw attention to research.

In 2000, he founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease Research.
