And it only took three days before Adele broke the record in the United States. It happened after she sold more than 660,000 copies of her new album.

The album’s lead single “Easy on Me” held number one in the UK for six weeks, after breaking the record for a single aired in one week.

The long-awaited album received mixed reviews from critics. Here at home, NRK and VG rolled four dice, while Dagbladet rolled five dice.

In an interview with Vogue magazine The British singer explained that the album was her way of explaining her husband’s divorce to their joint son.
