Cavendish will announce the news at a press conference on Monday, May 22, he writes The major newspaper.

Mark Cavendish has 34 stage victories in the Tour de France. In the summer of 2021, the Briton touched legend Eddy Merckx. He won the Green Points title twice (2011 and 2021).

Norway competitor: Thor Hushovd (TV) has had many sprint fights against Mark Cavendish (the tallest woman) in his career. Hushovd surrendered in 2014.

The birthday boy is currently riding the fifteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia. He is certainly not one of the favorites in the difficult stage that has to cross many mountains before the finish in Bergamo.

He came fourth on stage five, showing he still had a bit of firepower in the 38-year-old’s legs. He was beaten only by Mads Pedersen, Jonathan Millan and Caden Groves.

He crossed the line in a slightly special way:

SLIKED TO THE FINISH: The Briton went down a run, but managed to slip across the finish line into fourth place.

KAF rides for the Astana team. Previously, he’s ridden with teams like Quick-Step, Bahrain-McLaren, Dimension Data, Sky, HTC and T-Mobile. He was teammates with Edvald Boasson Hagen.

Cavendish got his ultimate revenge when, in 2021, he returned to the Tour de France circus after several years as “written off”. He won the four stages it took to beat the legend Eddy Merckx, and he can now lay claim to being one of the greatest cyclists of all time.

The last time he crossed the finish line first in a Grand Tour was the third stage of last year’s Giro d’Italia.

Cavendish is set to ride this year’s Tour de France for Astana. Then he has the chance to sneak another stage win into another and stand alone at the top of the cycling throne.

The three-week trip begins on July 1. The Norwegian Uno-X team will also be in attendance, setting the stage for a record-breaking Norwegian participation.
