German police are searching for unknown perpetrators after the attack on a synagogue in Berlin with two firebombs.
The attack occurred on Wednesday night and was confirmed by the Kahal Adas Yisrael group and police.
– Unknown assailants threw two Molotov cocktails from the street, worshipers wrote on the X/Twitter messaging service.
Dozens of police officers were at the scene in the morning hours on Wednesday. The street outside was closed to traffic.

The community building complex is located in the center of Berlin and consists of a synagogue, a kindergarten, a religious school and a community center.

Israeli flags raised in solidarity in front of German municipalities were torn down and set on fire. The Star of David is painted on the doors and walls of many buildings where Jews live in Berlin.
On Wednesday night, clashes broke out between Muslim immigrants and police in the Neukölln and Kreuzberg districts of Berlin, as well as in the Brandenburg Tor. A number of police officers were injured.
German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz strongly condemned the attack on the synagogue.
– He says: We will never accept that Jewish institutions are attacked.
