On Monday, Swedish channel TV4 is broadcasting the “Sing Together Against Cancer” concert, where many of Sweden's most famous artists will perform to draw attention to cancer research.

Among those who shared his illness journey with us is Hollywood star Dolph Lundgren (66 years old). He was diagnosed with cancer in 2015.
– I was in Sweden that year to participate in the Gumball 3000 car race. He adds: “During that trip I discovered that I had a tumor in my left kidney.” Aftonbladet.
During the pandemic, the 66-year-old was told he was cancer-free, but a short time later the cancer returned.
– It's been two difficult years since then. It has spread to different organs. I've been through different treatments but it's been looking pretty dark in late 2021 and early 2022.
It's been nearly nine years since the actor received his first cancer diagnosis. Today, given the circumstances, he is doing well and can live a largely normal life.

At the same time, he admits that he fears the cancer will break out again.
-I have learned to live with the proximity of death. At first I was shocked, then you get used to it. But when I was told I only had two or three years to live, and when my doctor later told me I only had a few months to live because of my old medication, I prepared myself for death.
Despite this message, he did not begin to live more intensely, but he told the Swedish newspaper that his wife, Emma, and his children made him deal with the matter more easily.
Lundgren married Norwegian Emma Krokdal (27 years old) this summer.
