Man shot dead in Oslo

A 40-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was shot at Doyen in Oslo on Saturday evening. Injuries should not be life-threatening.

Dagbladet's reporter at the scene reports that police are now searching the area with a dog. There is a police helicopter in the sky and lots of police activity at the scene.

A tipster staying in a nearby building told Talkblade that he heard three shots. Then she saw a man lying on the ground.

Police confirmed that multiple shots were fired at the scene, including one shot in the leg.

– The police are engaged in tactical and technical investigations and questioning several witnesses at the scene, they write further.

Police reported the incident after 8 pm on Saturday.

– Police are at the Herzleb school where a man was shot. The extent of the damage is unknown, but police and an ambulance are on the scene and providing first aid, Oslo Police X wrote earlier on Twitter.

Operations Manager Øyvind Schalla-Aasen reports VG It was a man over 40 years old.

– He does not appear to have life-threatening injuries and is being taken to hospital, Shalla-Assen tells the newspaper.

Police received the first report at 19:53.

– Several people called in and said they heard gunshots. So there are many witnesses to the incident, Shalla-Assen says, but they don't know exactly what they saw.

No one has been arrested in this case yet.
