Reports of a stabbing incident in a London hospital – one person arrested
Armed police responded to a serious incident at a hospital in west London after reports of a stabbing, according to LBC News.
On Wednesday afternoon, police said a person was arrested at Middlesex Central Hospital in west London.
The London Ambulance Service also said that two people were being treated for injuries “so far”, and that this was an ongoing incident.
Heavily armed police rushed to the hospital, and people at the scene say they have taken refuge in ‘safe rooms’, reports say. LBC on its website.
Journalist Amy Ferris Rotman wrote that there were armed police on the scene, and that it was a “major accident”.
– I didn’t hear any shooting or anything. There were a lot of police, and they are still here because the hospital has been completely evacuated, and everyone is standing outside, she told LBC.
The broadcaster reported that it was likely a stabbing.
