“Comedy scares the hell out of me because I think I saw Bottoms recently and I was in awe of the way they do it,” Mescal said. “This is one of those things where I left the cinema feeling incredibly jealous and seeing the talent of everyone involved in this film. But I think in the next five years I will challenge myself to do maybe like a romance film with Ayo (Edebiri) or something like that which would be great.” .

After its theatrical release, it began receiving a lot of positive reviews, with critics praising Seligman’s direction and story.
