It’s the mother, Crown Princess Victoria, 46, who snapped a photo of Princess Estelle, 11, and Prince Oscar, 7, at home at Haga Castle in Stockholm.

Estelle is Lucia with a light on her head and a plate of Christmas cookies in her hands. Little brother is a boy star.

Lucia Day is a commemoration of Saint Lucia on December 13. According to legend, Lucia was a young woman who was murdered during the persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire in the early 4th century.

She is still celebrated as a saint in Catholic countries. In the Nordic countries, the celebration is combined with an ancient Norse tradition about the wise Lucy.
