Queen Sonja appeared with a smart watch

Queen Sonja (86 years old) was present on Tuesday during the opening of the 168th Parliament, along with King Harald (86 years old) and Crown Prince Haakon (50 years old). In keeping with tradition and etiquette, they were all dressed for the occasion – but the Queen didn’t just adorn herself in silver and gold.

During an unofficial visit to Denmark this summer, the Queen was photographed wearing a smartwatch around her wrist. The details show that the Queen is keeping up with the times, Caroline Vagel, a royal house expert at Se og Hør, previously said.

– While King Harald got a mobile phone for the first time during the pandemic, Queen Sonja said at the time that she was up to date with modern gadgets.
