The comeback song is called “Flashback” and it’s on youtube. The flashback will be on the album marking the band’s 25th anniversary, coming January 31.
It’s the original recorded trio: Simon Ericsrud (formerly Larsen) from Fulda, Johnny Sjo from Molde, and Kim Ovstad from Trondheim.
In 2018, Simone, after many years as an artist, said goodbye to the music industry and then said that she encouraged the new release of D’Sound with all her heart. Then they added a new singer.

– It was like searching. But I don’t think the others in the band were too shocked – they noticed I was starting to get so little done.
Then the band has continued since the ’90s.
I think we’ve kept the chef for a very long time. In the end, I had nothing to give, Simone tells Sunnmørsposten.
But in April of last year, the band reunited again. Simone brought with her a song she had written with her husband, producer Simin Ericsrud. The original D’Sound then continued working on the song together.
– He had to go home. This was beautiful! The vocalist tells Sunnmørsposten I get goosebumps where you don’t think you can get goosebumps.
She believes that working in a band together is like a love affair. It’s easier to do something when you’re not stressed all the time to do it.
Then time will tell if D’Sound offers more in the coming years:
It’s very hard to make a living from pop music. When you start becoming an old-fashioned artist like the rest of us, it’s even more difficult, says Simon, who in addition to music now has a full-time job in the office.
