STJORDAL: Police in Trøndelag say they launched a search operation for an 80-year-old woman in the Nerdalen area of Stjordal just after 8pm on Saturday. She must have dementia.
– Orientation and search with main rescue center SAR queen. Police are asking members of the public who may have seen the woman or the Skoda Fabia in the area to contact police on 02800, police wrote on Twitter.
At 22:30, operations manager Anne Birgit Arras tells the police that the woman has not yet been found. A wanted car has been found in Hegra.
– We are working on the site, but the conditions are difficult. Operations manager says it’s snowing and the road is slippery, so search teams and volunteers are working south to get there and take action.

Operations manager Stian Alberg tells Bladet that the woman must be a resident of Trondheim and, as far as the police know, has no connection to the area.
– Based on the tracking on his phone, we believe he is in this area, he tells the newspaper.
The operations manager adds that it is unclear how long the woman may have been in the area, or whether she was dressed to go into the forest. So the missing girl should be found immediately.
