A huge blow for Tottenham in the English Premier League – 0-3 smoke for Fulham

(Fulham – Tottenham 3-0) Fulham shocked Tottenham at home. It's bad news for Ange Postecoglou's hopes of playing in the Champions League next season.

With a win, Tottenham could snatch fourth place from Aston Villa by one point. After a lackluster performance, they instead remain two points behind, while Manchester United chase six points in sixth place.

Tottenham kept most of the ball in the match, but it was Fulham who scored the best goals in front of goal. Rodrigo Muniz was the biggest player in the match with his two goals.

The first came in the 42nd minute when Anthony Robinson passed him an early cross. The striker used one touch to put the ball in front before slotting a 1-0 lead past Guglielmo Vicario who had no chance.

Shortly after the two teams changed, Sasa Lukic doubled the lead for the hosts. Fulham played well through the Spurs defence, and Timothy Castagne passed the ball to Lukic in the penalty area, who cheated the 2-0 goal with his thigh.

Spurs were looking to go low, but instead fired the ball back at the other end of the pitch. Following a corner kick, Muniz scored his second goal of the match to make it 3-0 in front of the cheering home fans.

Tottenham continued their search for a reduction, and Timo Werner had a great opportunity with just over 20 minutes left in the match, but once again the ball ended up on the wrong side of the post for the German.

The result means Fulham remain in 12th place in the league. They are still even mid-table in the Premier League. West Ham, which is in seventh place, has only five points ahead of the London team.
