It has been ten years since the international star was in Norway.
This is what Sky wrote, which on Friday morning could report that pop star Ed Sheeran (32 years old) is coming to Staffern.
– There is nothing bigger than this, says Trond Opsal at the Staffern Festival.
-We are so ecstatic. It is with great pleasure that we announce that we have booked one of the biggest stars in the world exclusively for the Stavern Festival in 2024.
Ed Sheeran’s most popular song, “Shape of You” of 2017, is ranked second on the above list Top 100 most streamed songs on Spotify.
Tickets for Stavern Festival 2024 go on sale on September 29 – where Sheeran will also release his next and seventh studio album ‘Autumn Variation’.
Stjernen is Stavern’s first confirmed artist.
In 2024, the festival will expand from a three-day festival to a four-day one.
– There was a clear desire from the public for the festival to extend for more days. With the festival growing bigger and bigger every year, it now feels natural to expand and give our audience more unique Stavern experiences,” says Opsal.
The festival runs from July 3 to 6, 2024.
Had to cancel Las Vegas
Earlier in September, Sheeran found himself having to cancel a concert at Las Vegas’ massive Allegiant Stadium just an hour before the show was due to start.
“I can’t believe I’m writing this, but challenges have arisen“, Sheeran wrote to his 45.2 million followers.
“It is impossible to implement the offer. I’m very sorry. I know you came here for this, and I wish I could do something about it“, he added.
Allegiant Stadium seats 65,000 people.
“It was about safety“,” the 32-year-old wrote.
The concert has been postponed to October 28, but everyone is being offered a refund.
