The Duchess of Cambridge made headlines when she honored the Danish design in the Danish capital, with earrings signed by Maria Black.

Maria Black, the designer behind the namesake jewelry brand, told MinMote that Duchess Kate’s designers discovered her jewelry at Selfridges in London last January. Since then, she’s been hoping to see jewelry on Kate.

– We are so proud and happy that she chose to wear it while visiting Copenhagen. I know it’s never random what Kate wears. Her team makes sure that every dress and piece of jewelry tells a story.
